Budget planned for 2003

New services added recently or planned for next year at Lawrence Memorial Hospital include: construction of an expanded oncology center for radiation therapy services; a sleep center; wound care; and ultrasound at LMH South and Eudora Family Care.

The $5.8 million capital budget for 2003 includes: $2.1 million for information technology, including the first phase of an electronic patient record system; a $500,000 gamma camera and the annual lease cost of the two new CT scanners acquired in 2002; and a replacement of the hospital’s phone system for about $925,000, allocated in two years.

The 2003 capital budget represents a $750,000 increase since 2002.
