The winter high school sports season kicks off today as the city schools start basketball, wrestling and boys swimming practices immediately after school dismisses.

The Free State High boysâ basketball, wrestling and swimming teams will practice at 3:30 p.m., while the girlsâ basketball teams will practice at 6 p.m.

The Lawrence High girlsâ basketball, wrestling and swimming teams will practice at 3:30 p.m., while the boysâ basketball team will practice at 6 p.m.

Tryouts for boys LHS and FSHS varsity basketball teams will last until Wednesday.

Seabury Academy boysâ and girlsâ basketball teams will practice at 3:15 p.m. at the East Lawrence Rec Center.
