The bride is a graduate of Lawrence High School and received an associateâÂÂs degree in fashion merchandising from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. She plans to receive a bachelorâÂÂs degree in economics in December from Kansas University. She is employed as a product development intern at Gear For Sports in Lenexa.

The groom is a Shawnee Heights High School graduate and received a bachelorâÂÂs degree in business finance from Washburn University. He is employed as a financial examiner for the Office of the State Bank Commissioner in Topeka.

Mueller-Alderdice

Jennifer Ruth Mueller and Patrick James Alderdice, both of Lawrence, were married Aug. 10, 2002, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lawrence with the Rev. Ron Mueller and the Rev. Gary Teske officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Robert and Ruth Sarna, Lawrence, and the Rev. Ron Mueller, Ocala, Fla. The groom is the son of Joanne and Robert Alderdice, Fort Wayne, Ind.

Matron of honor was Serena OâÂÂConnor. Bridesmaids were Karen Ward, Melinda Mueller, Wendy Mueller and Kara McNally. Junior bridesmaid and candle lighter was Kaitlan Brenn. Best man was Mike Marker. Groomsmen were Jeff Kingsbury, Brad Hastings, Steve Bossart and Tom Sheffield.

Ring bearers were Nathan Mueller and Austin Mueller. Flower girl was Madison Rohr. Greeter and gift attendant was Candi Cormaney. Guestbook attendant was Kelly Jo Karnes. She earned a masterâÂÂs degree in higher education administration and student affairs from KU. She is director of student programs for the KU Alumni Association.

The groom is a graduate of Bishop Lauers High School, Fort Wayne, Ind. He received a bachelorâÂÂs degree in political science from Ball State University, where he was a Delta Chi. He is president of Pennington and Co.

The couple reside in Lawrence.

Weeks-Whittemore

Laurie Weeks and Luke Whittemore, both of Oxford, England, were married April 6, 2002, at First United Methodist Church in Lawrence with Sharon Howell officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Loren Weeks, Downs, and Lois Weeks, Lawrence. The groom is the son of Donald and Andrea Whittemore, Lawrence.

Bridesmaids were Caitlin Boley, Andrea Squires and Amy Gabrielson. Groomsmen were Lance Weeks, Paul Whittemore and Mark Whittemore.

The bride is a 1997 graduate of Lawrence High School. She received a bachelorâÂÂs degree in political science and broadcast news in 2001 from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She attends Oxford Brookes where she plans to receive a masterâÂÂs degree in the politics of democracy in 2003.

The groom is a 1997 graduate of Lawrence High School. He received a bachelorâÂÂs degree in oceanography in 2001 from the U.S. Naval Academy and a masterâÂÂs degree in environmental change and management in 2002 from the University of Oxford. He is attending the University of Oxford where he plans to graduate with a masterâÂÂs degree in economic and social history in 2003. He is an ensign in the U.S. Navy.

Following their honeymoon in Malta, the couple reside in Oxford, England.

Goans-Heinz

The bride is the daughter of Mike and Ann Goans, Lawrence. The groom is the son of Mervyn and Sherry Heinz, Cosby, Mo.

The groom is a graduate of Savannah High School, Savannah, Mo. He received a bachelorâÂÂs degree from Baker University. He received a masterâÂÂs degree in business administration at Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Mo. He is an accountant and financial adviser in Lawrence.

Mahlios-Wilson

Emily Jan Mahlios and Ted Michael Wilson, both of Flagstaff, Ariz., were married June 1, 2002, in Flagstaff, Ariz.

The bride is the daughter of Marc and Jan Mahlios, Lawrence. The groom is the son of Beverly Wilson, Jacksonville, Fla., and the late Tom Wilson.
