The future bride is a 2000 Lawrence High School graduate. She is pursuing a music education degree from Kansas University. She teaches private clarinet and piano lessons to area students.

The future groom is a 2000 Lawrence High School graduate. He is pursuing an industrial design degree from KU. He is employed as a mason for Hamel Masonry.

The couple plan a June 14, 2003, wedding at Christ Community Church in Lawrence.
