Lawrence had seven players named to All-Sunflower League volleyball teams, with Free State High placing four and Lawrence High three.

The Firebirds, who finished 14-20 overall, had two second-team players in seniors Jayme Lisher and Linsey Morningstar. Lisher was among the league leaders in passing, blocking, hitting efficiency and kills, and Morningstar was among the leaders in hitting efficiency, assists, blocking and aces.

Jenny Gwaltney and Jenny Heppert were each named honorable mention. Heppert led the league in blocking.

The Lions, who finished 12-26 overall, had a second-team player in senior Morgan McMichael, and two honorable mentions in junior Kim Davis and sophomore Drew DeBiasse.

McMichael, a middle, was among the league leaders in blocks and hitting efficiency. DeBiasse, a setter, was among the leaders in setting percentage and assists.
