Lucille A. Scott
Services for Lucille A. Scott, 84, Lawrence, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at First Regular Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
Mrs. Scott died Friday, Nov. 8, 2002, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born Nov. 25, 1917, in Hugoton, the daughter of John Henry Clay and Ellen LaVada (Bennett) Allen.
Mrs. Scott performed domestic work for many years in Lawrence homes. She was a member of First Regular Missionary Baptist Church, where she was an honorary deaconess and a member of the choir.
She married Louis R. Scott Sr. on June 25, 1948, in Topeka. He died Jan. 29, 1995.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Scott, Fremont, Calif., and Ronald Scott, Walnut Creek, Calif.; and a sister, Naomi E. Saunders, Topeka.
Family will greet friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
The family suggests memorials to the church’s A.L. Parker Scholarship Fund, sent in care of the funeral home.
