She was born Oct. 16, 1912, in Baldwin, the daughter of F. Ferdinand and Anna Mary Elizabeth (Young) Johanning. She attended Excelsior Grade School southeast of Worden and graduated from Baldwin High School in 1932.

Ms. Johanning was a homemaker. She provided home care for her mother and sister for many years. She was a lifetime member of St. JohnâÂÂs United Church of Christ.

Survivors include three nephews, Richard Johanning, Baldwin, Marlin Johanning, Atchison, and Paul Johanning, Emporia.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today at Lamb-Roberts-Heise Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
