Governor down on Eagles
Philadelphia ? Even the next governor of Pennsylvania had nothing kind to say about the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.
Ed Rendell is a commentator on Comcast SportsNet’s Eagles postgame show, but he was barred from the telecast while a candidate because of equal-access laws.
He returned to the network Sunday following the Eagles’ 35-13 loss to Indianapolis.
“The euphoria of Tuesday night is gone,” said Rendell, the Democratic former Philadelphia mayor who beat Republican Mike Fisher. “It’s gone. I don’t feel happy anymore. This is terrible.”
Rendell donates to charity the money he earns from appearing on the show.
