Colorado College blanks Haskell

? Sophomore quarterback Peter Hahn and the Haskell Indian Nations University football squad couldn’t find the magic it showed three weeks ago, losing 30-0 to Colorado College on Saturday.

After ending a 23-game losing skid with a 68-0 pounding of Trinity Bible College on Oct. 19, the Fightin’ Indians couldn’t find the end zone – or even the uprights – against the Tigers.

Hahn had just 102 yards on 17-of-48 passing, and the Indians (1-7) could muster a scant 55 yards rushing.

A bright spot again for the Fightin’ Indians came on special teams.

Martin Woods collected 72 combined return yards, including a 42-yard kickoff return.

Colorado College, however, won its first game of the season as quarterback Jay Macias threw for 126 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Macias had scoring passes of 1 and 45 yards, while running back Paul Sage broke off scoring runs of 1 yard and 12 yards for the Tigers (1-7).

Haskell plays its season finale at 2 p.m. Saturday at home against Southwestern Assemblies of God.
