Class: Junior

Sport: Cross country

The week: OgleâÂÂs fourth-place finish at the 4A state cross country meet in Wamego last Saturday led the way for the Baldwin girlsâ team to snag its first-ever state title. Ogle, who covered the two-mile course in 12:12, knew before the race that sheâÂÂd have to lead the way, making the title that much sweeter.

Comment: âÂÂSomewhere along the way she was talking about being the first to win a state title,â Bulldogs coach Mike Spielman said. âÂÂShe just ran a great race. She did a great job as a leader. SheâÂÂs got a lot of experience running on that course.âÂÂ
