Margaret Rose Krueger

? She was born June 1, 1916, in Rose Valley near Downs, the daughter of Emil and Suzanne Selichnow. She graduated from Osborne High School.

Mrs. Krueger worked for the Osborne County engineer. She was also bookkeeper and organizer of the family businesses of manufacturing and oil production.

She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, where she was a district aide, and Daughters of the American Revolution, where she received the Patriot Award. She was also a member of Federated Women’s Clubs and the Methodist Church.

She married August Henry Krueger Jr. on Jan. 22, 1943. He died in 1995.

Survivors include two sons, August Henry Krueger III, Mission, and Nelson Lytle Krueger, Lawrence; two sisters, Hilda Towne, Osborne, and Veda Cordell, Concordia; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday at Hays Memorial Chapel.
