Positions: Running back/cornerback

The game: With starting cornerbacks Brett Urban and Taylor Parker injured, Colter and Trotter got their first career starts in the regular season finale  and shut down hapless Topeka High in the Lions’ 55-0 victory. Trojan quarterback Donovan Briggs completed six of 24 passes and tossed two interceptions, one to Colter.

Comment: “It was important they step up because there’s a good chance they’ll start the playoff game,” LHS coach Dirk Wedd said. “They’re both athletic, they can match up athlete-wise, it’s just that they don’t have a lot of experience yet.”
