MARSHALL, MO. ? Ralph Volcin rushed for 166 yards and three touchdowns, helping Missouri Valley beat Baker, 35-32, on Saturday in Heart of America Conference football.

Roy Harden completed 15-of-22 for 215 yards and two touchdowns for Missouri Valley (7-2, 7-2 HAAC). Javan Williams and Todd Durrant each caught TD passes.

For Baker (3-6, 3-5), Martin Updike completed 17-of-31 for 254 yards, three touchdowns and one interception.

Baker tops Haskell: Baker University’s men’s and women’s basketball squads earned wins against Haskell Indian Nations University on Saturday in Baldwin.

Brandon McDonnell had 19 points, leading the Wildcat men to a 76-50 victory against the Fightin’ Indians. Kenneth Lavato had 16 points and Jason Smith 12 for Haskell.

The Wildcat women were led by Amber Burkland’s 19 points in an 89-52 win. Gayla Brown had 13 points and Melissa Cox added 11 points and 8 rebounds.
