Morgan-Cain

Debra Morgan and Mark Cain, both of Arvada, Colo., were married Aug. 3, 2002, at Arvada Covenant Church in Arvada, Colo., with the Rev. Wes Swanson officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Reg and Barb Morgan, Peotone, Ill. The groom is the son of Roberta Cain, Lawrence, and the late Donald Cain.

The bride was escorted by her son Morgan Anderson. The couple’s children, Morgan Anderson, Bobbie Anderson, Caryn and John Greenwalt and Travis Cain, participated in the ceremony with a family blessing.

Matron of honor was Tamela Howell. Best man was Steve Miller. Rebecca Cain was soloist. Miriam Cain was flutist.

A reception followed at Delmonico Hall in Denver.

The bride is a nutritionist, and the groom works in the construction business. After a wedding trip to New York City, the couple reside in Arvada, Colo.

Silver-Lahm

Lisa Jean Silver and Jacob Webster Lahm were married Sept. 7, 2002, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Topeka, with the Rev. Thomas H. Harries officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Donna and Lynn Silver, Burlingame. The groom is the son of David and Nancy Lahm, Lawrence.

Matron of honor was Jenae Karr. Bridesmaids were Candice Lahm, Meghanne Estes, Jessica Koran and Alicia Young. Best man was Brandon Grammer. Groomsmen were Clint Silver, Scott Karr, Scott Walburn and Ryan Nall.

Sara Fisher and Amy Wede were candle lighters. Andy Grammer, Kevin Grammer and Eric Carlson were ushers. Samantha Levra was flower girl. Chase Levra was ring bearer. Alex Webster and Grace Bokelman were program attendants. Bailey Bokelman was guestbook attendant. Musicians were Roger Goetz, organist; Brian Harries, trumpeter; Stacy Harris, vocalist; Mark Harries, pianist/trumpeter; and David Azwell, violinist. Brooke Billings, Blair Bokelman, Claire Bokelman, Kelsey Silver and Macie Bokelman were petal and basket girls. Adam Just, Collin Just, Keith Bokelman, Brady Bokelman and Zachary Billings were reception favor boys.

A sit-down dinner and dance reception followed the ceremony at the University Ball Room at Washburn University.

The bride is a 1997 graduate of Osage City High School. She received her bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from Kansas State University and graduated form the Boulder College of Massage Therapy in Boulder, Colo.

The groom is a 1994 graduate of Lawrence High School. He earned an economic degree at Kansas State University. He is general manager of Finish Line Inc. in Cheyenne, Wyo.

The couple reside in Cheyenne, Wyo.

Joseph-Johnson

Jennifer Leigh Joseph and Scott Simons Johnson, both of Denver, were married Aug. 31, 2002, at the Johnson family cottage on Gull Lake in Gull Lake, Minn., with the Rev. James Mardock officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Charles Alan Joseph, Wichita, and Brenda Lisbeth Brown, Wichita. The groom is the son of Charles Simons Johnson and Cathy Johnson, Mission Hills, and Sherry Wickliff Johnson, Palm Desert, Calif.

The bride’s grandparents are Jean Joseph, Potwin, and the late Charles Joseph; Dr. Russell Brown, Portland, Ore.; and the late Jean Brown. The groom’s grandparents are Dorothea Simons Johnson, Wymor, Neb., and the late Harry Johnson; Norma Wickliff, Palm Desert, Calif., and the late George Wickliff. The groom is the great-grandson of the late W.C. Simons.

The bride was escorted by her father.

Maids of honor were Marjo Joseph and Emily Joseph. Best man was Charles Johnson.

Bridesmaids were Marlys Rogers Handeland, Elizabeth Johnson, Kristin Knightley, Aline Nowlin, Hilary Robe and Hayden Sides. Groomsmen were Peter Buck, James McDaniel III, Ronald Edwards, Peter Jensen, Kenneth Wilkins, Pawel Lasiecki and Christopher Cordani.

Brian Donatell, Peyton Lindley, Peter Henry and Dennis Pike III were ushers.

The pianist was Lance Johnson. Lisbeth LaBellarte was reader. Whitney Fritzemeier and Carrie Peterson were guest book attendants. Lindsay McClellan and Gabriella Ayers Swan were program attendants. Blish Mize Connor and Mary Garretson were greeters.

A reception followed the ceremony at Grand View Lodge on Gull Lake.

The bride graduated from Kapaun-Mount Carmel High School, Wichita, in 1993. She received a bachelor’s degree in journalism with an emphasis in business communications from Kansas University in 1997. She is employed by Deloitte & Touche LLP as a marketing coordinator.

The groom graduated from Pembroke High School, Kansas City, Mo., in 1991. He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia in 1995 and a master’s degree in business administration, with an emphasis on real estate and finance, from the University of Colorado. He is employed by Design Workshop Inc. as a real estate analyst and asset manager.

After a wedding trip to Barbados, the couple will reside in Denver.
