Flory-Miller

Michael and Cheryl Flory, Lawrence, announce the engagement of their daughter, Tara Flory, Shawnee, to Dan Miller, Gardner.

The future bride also is the daughter of the late Eldon Flory.

She is a 1993 Lawrence High School graduate. She received a bachelor's degree in elementary education from John Brown University in 1997. She is a graduate student at Kansas University in the teaching and leadership department. She is a third-grade teacher at Mize Elementary School in the

DeSoto school district.

The future groom is the son of the Richard Miller, Victor, Idaho, and the late Sharon Miller.

He is a 1992 Gardner High School graduate. He received a degree in criminal justice from KU in 1999. He is employed by Penny's Concrete Inc. and is the owner of Hydro Seeding Solutions.

The couple plan a Feb. 1, 2003, wedding at Free Methodist Church in Lawrence.

Forni-Phenix

Celso Luiz Forni and Maria Odete Leal, both of Sao Paulo, Brazil, and Mike and Susan Phenix, Lawrence, announce the engagement of their children, Gisele Andrea Forni and Brian Daniel Phenix, both of Los Angeles.

The future bride received a bachelor's degree in advertising from the University of Casper Libero in Brazil and received a degree in film, television and digital entertainment from the University of California-Los Angeles in 2001. She is employed by The Post Group, a post-production company in Hollywood, Calif.

The future groom is a 1995 Lawrence High School graduate. He graduated from Kansas University with a bachelor's degree in business in 1999. He is an associate producer for Fox Sports Net in Los Angeles.

The couple plan a Nov. 16 wedding in Las Vegas.

Miller-Meinershagen

Kevan Meinershagen and Sarah Miller, both of Lawrence, announce their engagement.

The future bride is the daughter of Don and Elizabeth Miller, Rossville. She is a graduate of Rossville High School. She received a bachelor's degree in business from Kansas University. She is employed by Amarr Garage Doors, Lawrence, as a human resources coordinator.

The future groom is the son of Glenn and Jane Meinershagen, Blue Springs, Mo. He is a graduate of Blue Springs High School. He received a bachelor's degree in English from KU. He is employed by Allen Press, Lawrence, as a project programmer.

The couple plan a July 18, 2003, wedding at the St. Lawrence Catholic Campus Center in Lawrence.

Putthoff-Vander Meer

Amy Leah Putthoff and Michael Edward Vander Meer, both of Lawrence, announce their engagement.

The future bride is the daughter of Bradley Putthoff, Broken Arrow, Okla., and Joanne Kelly, Lawrence. She is a Lawrence High School graduate and a Johnson County Community College graduate. She is a certified nursing assistant at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

The future groom is the son of Thomas and Barbara Vander Meer, Great Bend. He is a graduate of Great Bend High School and attended Barton County Community College. He is a sales associate at Nordstrom in Kansas City, Mo.

The couple plan a Nov. 30 wedding at the Eldridge Hotel in Lawrence.

Ohlen-Lamont

Robert and Gudrun Ohlen, Nevada, Mo., announce the engagement of their daughter Capt. Christine Ohlen to Capt. Jason Lamont, both of Ramstein Air Base in Germany.

The future bride is a 1991 graduate of Lawrence High School. She received her bachelor's degree in international affairs from Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, Va., in 1995. She earned a juris doctorate from Kansas University in 1998. She is an attorney in the U.S. Air Force and is stationed at Ramstein Air Base in Germany.

The future groom is the son of T.J. and Pat Lamont, Oak Harbor, Wash. He is a 1991 graduate of Oak Harbor High School. He received a bachelor's degree in political science from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1995. He is pursuing a master's degree in European studies from Troy State University. He is an intelligence officer in the U.S. Air Force and is stationed at Ramstein Air Base, Germany.

The couple plan a wedding in the summer of 2004.

O'Neill-Lawrence

Mr. and Mrs. Charles O'Neill, Abernathy, Tex., announce the engagement of their daughter Mary Ruth O'Neill to Jeremy Shane Lawrence, son of Mike and Renarda Harrell, Greensburg, and Brian and Joni Lawrence, Lawrence.

The future groom is a graduate of Greensburg High School. He received a bachelor's degree in biology from Baker University, Baldwin. He is employed by Excel Corp. in Plainview, Tex.

The couple plan a Nov. 23 wedding at the First Baptist Church in Abernathy, Tex.

Klaus-Oberzan

Steven and Anne Klaus, North Bay, Fla., announce the engagement of their daughter, Stacey Klaus, Overland Park, to Brett Oberzan, Apollo Beach, Fla.

The future bride is a Lawrence High School graduate. She owns a hair design salon.

The future groom is the son of Joe and Teri Oberzan, Lawrence.

He is a graduate of Lawrence High School and Emporia State University. He is a teacher and football coach at East Bay High School in Apollo Beach, Fla.

The couple plan a Dec. 27 wedding at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Lawrence.
