Cecil Junior Tillery

DeSoto ? Services for Cecil Junior Tillery, 65, DeSoto, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Cedar Crest Memorial Chapel, De-Soto. Burial will follow in DeSoto Cemetery.

Mr. Tillery died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2002, at Royal Terrace Nursing Center.

He was born March 9, 1937, in Jethro, Ark., the son of Cecil and Nancy Tillery. He moved to DeSoto in 1956.

Mr. Tillery had worked in construction. He was a regular in the DeSoto City Parade and a member of Full Gospel Tabernacle in DeSoto, where he was a gospel singer.

He married Barbara Jean Salmon on June 15, 1957. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include a son, Rick, DeSoto; a daughter, Kathleen Mummaw, Gardner; four sisters, Frankie Bowles, Ozark, Ark., Martha Stephens, Lowell, Ark., Bernice Campbell, Bonner Springs, and Shirley Murphy, Mulberry, Ark; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the chapel.
