Lawrence Open tennis scheduled June 7-9

Entries will close next Wednesday and fees are due next Thursday for the Lawrence Open scheduled June 7-9 at the Lawrence Tennis Center. The meet, sanctioned by USTA and the Missouri Valley Tennis Association, offers cash prizes in men’s and women’s open singles and doubles. Competition will be by skill level and age group.

Track meet Saturday

Lawrence Track Club will play host to the Prestate USTAF/AAU meet Saturday at Lawrence High. The event is open to youths ages 8 to 18. Registration is from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Field events begin at 10:30 a.m. with running events scheduled to start at 11 a.m.
