Henry H. Short

? Services for Henry H. Short, 68, Olathe, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Olathe. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa.

Mr. Short died Tuesday, May 28, 2002, at Shawnee Mission Medical Center, Merriam.

He was born Nov. 27, 1933, in Independence, Mo., the son of Jasper and Marion (Hansen) Short. He grew up in Excelsior Springs, Mo., and graduated from University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Pharmacy.

He worked in the Kansas City area and owned DeSoto Drug Store from 1969 to 1995. He was employed at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Leavenworth.

He married Sandi Rittenhouse on June 8, 1968. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include three daughters, Amy Camp, Hoschton, Ga., Beth Short, Lexington, Ky., and Megan Short, Lawrence; four sons, Paul, Denton, Tex., Larry, Pratt, and Matt and Ryan, both of Carrollton, Tex.; two sisters, Jean Trost, Apple Valley, Calif., and Helen Swafford, Garden City; a brother, Don, Excelsior Springs, Mo.; and seven grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Cedar Crest Memorial Chapel, where a rosary will be at 7 p.m. today.
