Miller Park on pace to set record decrease

Milwaukee Attendance at Miller Park is on pace to drop almost 35 percent from its inaugural season, which would set a modern record for the largest attendance drop in a ballpark’s second year.

Milwaukee has played 29 of its 81 home games at Miller Park this season. The Brewers attracted an average of 23,401 fans for a total of 678,640. If they continue at the same pace, the Brewers will draw fewer than 1.9 million fans for 81 home dates, a drop of almost 1 million fans, or 34.2 percent, from their inaugural season at Miller Park.

Attendance typically drops in the second year of a new stadium, but the Brewers’ 17-35 record the worst in baseball has affected attendance.
