Youngsters brave the chilly weather on opening day of Outdoor Aquatic Center

A diver contorts his body midair before making a considerable splash at the Lawrence Outdoor Aquatic Center. The pool opened for the summer on Saturday to a small, yet energetic crowd.

Djuan Lewis' new goggles enable him to find change on the bottom of the pool. The 11-year-old Lawrence resident was a regular at the Lawrence Outdoor Aquatic Center last year and now knows how to capitalize on his love for swimming.
