Robert M. Freeman

He was born June 1, 1942, in Ozark, Ark., the son of Hobert and Oma Lee (Ingram) Freeman. He had lived in Baldwin, Eudora and DeSoto before moving to Wellsville.

Mr. Freeman had been disabled since 1990. Prior to this, he was a construction supervisor for D.F. Freeman Contractors and Holland Corp.

He was a member of the Laborers Local No. 1290, Kansas City, Kan., and a former member of the DeSoto Jaycees.

He married Nancy Tarwater on Oct. 27, 1980, in Miami, Okla. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include a daughter, Aimee Freeman of the home; two sons, Robert Eugene, DeSoto, and Brandon Scott, Enid, Okla.; his mother, Ozark, Ark.; two brothers, Allen Ray, Pryor, Okla., and Darrel, DeSoto; and four grandchildren.

A son, Robert Melvin Jr., died earlier.

The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
