Baskin-Shelton

Holly Noel Baskin, Lebanon, Mo., and Michael Jeffrey Shelton, Lawrence, were married Dec. 15, 2001, at the Kanakuk Neighborhood Chapel near Branson, Mo., with the Rev. Chris Lovell officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Doug and Sharon Baskin, Holiday Island, Ark. The groom is the son of Robert and Carolyn Shelton, Lawrence.

Maid of honor was Jennie Rowe. Best man was Jason Bott.

Bridesmaids were Sarah Puzey, Diedra Robinson, Amy Begley and Marilyn Eichelberger. Groomsmen were David Shelton, Tony Miller, Sean Smith and Matt Severns.

Shelby Clark and Mariah Sanchez were flower girls. William Sharp was ring bearer. Stephen Sharp and Michael Sharp were candlelighters. Ushers were David Becker, Aaron Rye and Brian Parrish. Chris Fillingham was pianist. Brian Parrish was trumpeter. Josh Chase, Zach Atchley and Jennifer Atchley were vocalists.

Special guests of the couple were their grandparents Robert and Patricia Baskin, Springdale, Ark., and Murray and Jerry Voss, Bartlesville, Okla.

A reception followed the ceremony at the Settle Inn in Branson, Mo.

The bride is a 1997 graduate of Shiloh Christian School, Springdale, Ark. She graduated from Southwest Baptist University, Bolivar, Mo., in 2001 with a bachelor’s degree in education. She is employed by the Conway, Mo., public schools.

The groom is a 1998 graduate of Free State High School. He graduated from Southwest Baptist University in 2001 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. He is employed by the Stoutland, Mo., public schools and is the interim youth pastor at Stoutland Baptist Church.

The couple reside in Lebanon, Mo.

Harms-Holt

Christina M. Harms and James S. Holt, both of Lawrence, plan to exchange vows today at Trinity Lutheran Church, Lawrence, with Steve Stevenson officiating.

The bride is the daughter of John and Doris Harms, Wichita, and Deanna Harms, Wichita. The groom is the son of Jim and Karen Holt, Denver.

Maid of honor is Andrea Harms. Matron of honor is Shonda Stevenson. Best man is Steve Stevenson.

Bridesmaids are Rebekah Knudson, Amy Myers and Gloria Herrera. Groomsmen are Kevin Raymer, Josh Talley, Joe Holt, Tim Loper and Chad Warner.

Summer Stevenson is the flower girl. Soaren Stevenson is the ring bearer. Kreg Hoover is the vocalist. John Salveson is the pianist/organist. Mark Boren is the trumpeter. Laurie Ziegler and Carmen Hocking are the wedding coordinators.

A reception will follow at the Masonic Temple in Lawrence.

The bride is a graduate of Maize High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in American studies and human development from Kansas University. She is a research associate at the KU Work Group on Health Promotion and Community Development.

The groom is a graduate of Maize High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in biology from Washburn University. He is employed at Security Federal Mortgage.

The couple reside in Lawrence.
