Weapons plan

Bush has told his national security staff to give nuclear terrorism top priority. Yet, none of the $38 billion requested by Bush for homeland security will be used for that purpose. It is predicted that at the present rate, loose nuclear weapons will be in Russia for years to come.

The lack of media attention and fear of legal retribution has kept the American people from speaking up and demanding action from our government. Bush, Putin and all other world leaders need to work together to do more than just “reduce” weapons. After all, how many does it take to cause mass destruction? New threats are cropping up every day. Whether they are “traditional” or not, without a worldwide plan for securing weapons and know-how, how are we to avoid worldwide destruction?
