Besslouise Barry

Baldwin Memorial services for Besslouise Barry, 72, Baldwin, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Osborne Chapel at Baker University, Baldwin. She was cremated.

Mrs. Barry died Monday, May 20, 2002, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

She was born Nov. 25, 1929, in Jewel City, the daughter of Cecil Fox and Viola (Townsden) Bunch. She grew up in Jewel City, attending grade school there before moving to Mankato. She graduated from Mankato High School in 1947.

She then moved to Courtland with her husband in 1948. They lived there until moving to Lawrence in 1953. In 1988, they moved to a farm outside of Baldwin.

Mrs. Barry was a member of a local quilting club.

She married John Barry on Nov. 30, 1947, in Mankato. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include two daughters, Patty Bell, Loveland, Colo., and Jona Dunlap, Longmont, Colo.; a son, Cecil Barry, Meridan; three sisters, Glora Hoel, Jewel City, Jeanette Barrett, Randall, and Cecilia Reystead, Scott City; and three grandchildren.
