If a letter carrier was sitting in a Postal Service vehicle and someone ran into the vehicle, the employee wouldn’t be disciplined, Reynolds said. If an employee caused a vehicle accident, there would be disciplinary action, he said.

As for an employee falling on the ice, no, there would be no disciplinary action for that, Reynolds said.
