Dorothy W. Wahls

? A prayer service for Dorothy W. Wahls, 84, Tomah, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, Tomah. Burial will be later in Florida Hills Memorial Garden, Brooksville, Fla.

Mrs. Wahls died Tuesday, May 14, 2002, at Morrow Home, Sparta, Wis.

She was born Aug. 12, 1917, in Evanston, Ill., the daughter of William and Dorothea (Meier) Windelborn. She spent most of her life in Evanston, Morton Grove and Park Ridge, Ill. She spent her retirement years in Cable, Wis., and Brooksville, Fla.

Mrs. Wahls worked as a secretary and volunteered at Lutheran General Hospital, Park Ridge, Ill. She ended her working career as a church secretary for many years at Trinity Lutheran Church, Cable, Wis. She was also a longtime member and officer of Lutheran Women’s Missionary League of Northern Wisconsin.

She married Edward Wahls. He died earlier.

Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Tramba, Lawrence, Kan.; a son, Fred Wahls, Tomah, Wis.; and four grandchildren.

Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
