Former aide Eatman rejoins KU women

Former Kansas University women’s basketball assistant coach Tim Eatman returned to the coaching staff after serving as the head coach for the University of Illinois-Chicago the past four seasons.

Eatman replaces Maggie Mahood, who will be focusing on administrative duties for the Jayhawks.

“We are very fortunate to have Tim back on our staff,” KU coach Marian Washington said. “He is a hard worker and is considered to be one of the top recruiters in the country. We have gained a very strong teacher. He is extremely knowledgeable and I am really excited about having him back.”

Eatman served on the KU staff for two seasons prior to leaving for UIC. While at KU, the Jayhawks won the Big 12 Championship in 1997 and advanced to the Sweet 16 during the 1998 season.
