Loren G. Glasgow

? He was born Nov. 26, 1918, in Washington, the son of William Piper and Emma Marie (Anderson) Glasgow. His family moved to Topeka, and he attended Topeka public schools. He graduated from Seaman High School in 1936.

Mr. Glasgow was a veteran of World War II, serving in the 13th Army Air Corp as a B-25 pilot in the Pacific.

He was employed as a federal meat inspector and compliance officer for the U.S. Department of Agriculture for 50 years. He also was employed by Trenton Foods, Trenton, Mo., as a quality control manager.

Mr. Glasgow was a member of Meriden United Methodist Church, a member and past master of Wyandotte Masonic Lodge, and a member of Meriden Kiwanis Club. He served on the Rural Water Board of Meriden.

He married Betty Jane McQuilkin on Sept. 23, 1939. She died in 1975. He married Judith L. Flesher in 1990. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include a son, Larry Allen, Manhattan; a stepson, Bradley Alan Reynolds, Lake Orion, Mich.; a stepdaughter, Bethany Ann Reynolds, Ozawkie; a sister, Agnes Kump, Overbrook; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Barbara Jane Barrett, died in 1971.

Friends may call after noon Sunday at the mortuary, where the family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.
