Douglas County Special Olympics is raffling off a basketball autographed by the 2001-’02 Kansas University men’s basketball team.

Douglas County Special Olympics is hoping to raise about $2,000 by selling raffle tickets through the middle of June. The group will be at Wal-Mart, 3300 Iowa, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and May 10. Tickets are $1 each or $5 for six tickets.

The raffle of the ball, signed by members of KU’s first Final Four team since 1993, will continue through the second week of June.

The group will announce other times and dates when raffle tickets will be available at a later date.

The winner will be called in the latter part of June.
