Vinland ? She was born March 23, 1916, in rural Douglas County, the daughter of Jake and Mary Elizabeth (Liggett) Reusch. She attended school in Vinland and graduated from Vinland High School in 1934.

With her husband, Mrs. McPheeters farmed in Douglas County and retired in Baldwin in 1984. She was active in the Vinland Presbyterian Church and in later years, First United Methodist Church in Baldwin.

She married Perry Wayne McPheeters on June 10, 1936, in Lawrence. He died June 19, 1999.

Survivors include two daughters, Joanne Burns, Burbank, Calif., and Meredith Hann, Prospect Heights, Ill.; a sister. Alberta Morgan, Lenexa; and one granddaughter.
