Board to consider repairs from wreck

Bottom Line

The board will discuss repairing a Riverside School classroom that was hit by a truck Feb. 6. The accident was the second in as many years at the school, 601 N. Iowa, and occurred when a driver missed a stop sign and hit the building.

Background

The first accident cost $35,000 to repair, but the second accident is expected to cost $100,000. The truck went through the front wall and hit the back of the room, causing structural damage when the wall was shoved partly off its foundation.
