He was born April 14, 1978, in Lawrence, the son of Larry James and Starr L. (Wilson) Shoemaker. He attended Eudora public grade schools and Eudora High School.

Mr. Shoemaker was a bass guitar player.

Survivors include his parents, of the home; two sisters, Tresa Shoemaker, Lawrence, and Kim Shoemaker, Eudora; a paternal grandmother, Maxine Shoemaker, Pittsburg; and a maternal grandfather, Ray Wilson, Pittsburg.

The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary.

The family suggests memorials to the Eudora Nursing Center, sent in care of the mortuary.
