Denver company lands fort’s cleanup contract

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has awarded a Colorado company a $19.9 million contract to clean up 19 environmental sites at Fort Leavenworth, the corps said Wednesday.

Arcadis G&M of Denver will clean up the sites, including landfills and fire training areas, the corps said.

The corps said the contract is the first of its kind because the company will protect against cost overruns.
