Isley services

Services for Dorothy L. Isley, 93, Eudora, formerly of Lawrence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 6, at Lawrence Free Methodist Church. She donated her body to Kansas University School of Medicine.

Mrs. Isley died Saturday, March 23, 2002, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.

She was born Jan. 22, 1909, in Newark, N.J., the daughter of George Jr. and Lillian (Waddington) Curtin. She had lived in New Jersey, New York, Illinois and Florida before moving to Lawrence in 1982.

Mrs. Isley was a member of Lawrence Free Methodist Church and participated with her husband in many missions and church activities. She was a former secretary at Illinois Wesleyan University, Bloomington, Ill.

She married George A. Isley Jr. on June 23, 1934. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include a son, the Rev. George A. Isley III, Stuyvesant, N.Y.; a daughter, Carol I. Abrahamson, Lawrence; a brother, James E. Curtin, Cedar Grove, N.J.; eight grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to the charity of the donor’s choice, sent in care of the mortuary.
