Sprewell sparks late surge in 101-92 win

? The New York Knicks haven’t given up on their season, as they proved when they were down 10 points in the fourth quarter Tuesday.

NEW YORK'S CLARENCE WEATHERSPOON (35) tries to block Memphis' Shane Battier. The Knicks beat the Grizzlies, 101-92, on Tuesday in New York.

The trio scored all 26 points in the final New York run.

“Allan got us going,” Sprewell said. “He hit some big shots and got us back in the game. Once we started cutting into the lead, I think we picked it up effectively. We contested shots and got steals down the stretch.”

Memphis guard Jason Williams was more direct.

“They came and took the win from us in the fourth quarter,” he said.
