NAIA: Oklahoma Baptist advances to final

? DuJuan Brown scored 33 points as Oklahoma Baptist beat Azusa Pacific (Calif.) 93-81 Monday night in the semifinals of the NAIA Division I tournament.

The Bison (32-4) will play Science & Arts (Okla.) in the finals tonight.

Oklahoma Baptist led 43-36 at halftime and went on a 15-4 run early in the second half to take control of the game. The Cougars (28-8) cut the margin to 77-69 on a free throw by Jeff Staniland with 4:59 left, but couldn’t get closer as Oklahoma Baptist shot 14-of-20 from the foul line in the last five minutes. Kyle Tolin made eight in a row and 9-of-10 in the last 3:17.

The title game marks the first time that two Oklahoma teams will meet in the finals and the first time that two teams from the same league (Sooner Athletic Conference) will meet in the championship game. The Bison won the two regular season games.

Hayden Herrin hit a go-ahead three-point shot in overtime as Science & Arts (Okla.) beat Barat (Ill.) 111-106 in overtime in the other semifinal.
