KU professors to speak at Cold War conference

Ethnic conflicts, economic decline and other troubles following the Cold War will be the focus of a conference April 13 at Johnson County Community College.

The conference, co-sponsored by Kansas University, will discuss the effects of the Cold War on Africa, Latin America, world security and American militarism. Presenters include several KU professors and other experts in the field.

Conference registration is $20 for students, $30 for K-12 teachers and $40 for others. For more information, call KU’s Center for Russian and East European Studies at 864-4236.
