East: No. 1 Maryland vs. No. 4 Kentucky

The story line: This season Maryland has played with the burden of being an expected Final Four team. Kentucky, meanwhile, has played with the burden of being Kentucky. Which is tougher? Good question. The Wildcats have gained some redemption by getting this far after a bad stretch to end the regular season, but they don’t have the firepower to stay with the Terps.

The “X” factor: Maryland sophomore forward Chris Wilcox is an amazing physical specimen, and when he’s on Âas he was when the Terps beat Duke Âno college team in the nation can stop him. The ‘Cats better hope he doesn’t play well.
