s Golf: Jayhawks finish tied for seventh

? Chris Marshall finished in a tie for 11th place as Kansas University earned a share of seventh of out 15 teams at the Louisiana Classic on Tuesday.

Marshall, a junior, carded a 75 for a three-round total of 218 on the 7,002-yard, par-72 Oakbourne Country Club. The Jayhawks finished with 881 strokes for the tournament. Southern Methodist University won the event with a 864, followed by Tulsa and Baylor at 873.

KU senior Travis Hurst carded a 73 to finish at 220, earning him a share of 18th place. Senior Casey Harbour fired a 74 for 221 and a tie at 23rd. Sophomore Tyler Hall was tied for 29th place with 222 strokes after shooting a 75. Freshman Andrew Price also had a 75, giving him a three-round total of 230 and a tie for 64th place.

KU freshman Kevin Ward, competing as an individual, shot a third-round 81 for a three-round total of 239.

Kansas will compete in the Cleveland Golf Collegiate Championships on March 18-19 in Aiken, S.C.
