Collection figures to impress
This week on “Home and Away,” host Cathy Hamilton, right, visits another collector and his amazing collection. She’ll introduce a Lawrence man who owns more than 5,000 action figures from movies, video games, TV shows and comic books.
Plus, the experts at Sunrise Garden Center will share their first “Tip of the Week.” This week they’ll explain how to start your own plants from seed.
A new show airs at 6:30 p.m. each Monday on Sunflower Broadband Channel 6 and repeats at 9 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. The show is also broadcast at 9 p.m. Tuesday-Friday and 9 a.m. Sunday.
Drain prevents overwatering
Overwatering is one of the most common mistakes plant owners make  and one of the most dangerous to the plant’s health.
The Flow ‘n Grow Easy-Flow Container Drain is designed to improve drainage and protect container plants from overwatering. The pillowlike product is placed in the bottom of the pot over the drainage hole, keeping soil and roots inside but letting excess water flow through.
