You’re eligible for a handicapped parking permit. In fact you had one in another Kansas city but it expired a few days ago. So, at an appointment with your doctor you request another one.

But wait, you have to go to the Kansas Drivers License Station to get the form for the doctor to complete. Seems they can’t keep forms on hand. You dash off to do so and return the form to doctor’s office where you’re told they’ll complete it and give you a call so you can come and get it and take it to the County Clerk’s Office.

WHAT? This is for a handicapped parking permit!

Three words pretty much sum up this situation, “bureaucrats and carpetbaggers.”
