Kindred services
Services for Lyle Lee Kindred, 57, Eudora, will be 10 a.m. Monday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Burial will be in Eudora City Cemetery.
Mr. Kindred died Thursday, March 7, 2002, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. He had cancer.
He was born Aug. 28, 1944, in Lawrence, the son of Louie and Lois Jean (Stanley) Kindred. He grew up in rural Eudora and graduated from Eudora High School in 1962. He attended mechanical school in Kansas City and had a salvage business for many years. In the 1970s, he operated a gasoline station and garage. He also worked at the Sunflower Army Ammunition Plant and farmed with his father.
Mr. Kindred was a member of the Eudora United Methodist Church.
He married Carol Rieder on March 21, 1998, in Independence, Mo. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include three sons, Leslie L., Stacy Naff and Robert Naff, all of Eudora; two daughters, Brenda Climer, Baldwin, and Laurie Coozennoy, Tonganoxie; his father and stepmother, Louie L. and Elva Kindred, Eudora; a sister, Judy Young, Gardner; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A son, Lonny Lee, died July 10, 1997.
The family suggests memorials to the Tonganoxie Demolition Derby, sent in care of the funeral home.
