I would love a Home Depot located here … and would suggest another location.

Locate it in North Lawrence. There are several benefits and solutions to that location.

1. Enough land could probably be bought and developed at a reasonable price.

2. It would help develop that side of town, which needs solid development.

3. Easy access is available from both the south, southwest and northwest parts of Lawrence, using the trafficway, Highway 10, the Lecompton interchange, and the turnpike! It would be so easy to get to!

4. I would guess intersection development costs would be less.

5. It is the kind of store that will be shopped, regardless of its location, so I think it will draw growth to that side of town.

We have a perfect opportunity here to PLAN growth, provide something citizens want, and save/correct mistakes made in the part regarding retail development.
