Leo Bracciano and Nancy Baumbach were married March 1, 1952, in Detroit.

Leo was a superintendent at the DuPont and Flexel plants, located in Tecumseh. He retired after 42 years of service. Nancy was a registered nurse and homemaker.

The couple’s children will serve as hosts for the reception. Their children and spouses are Carol Bracciano, Blacksburg, Va.; Mike and Cynthia Savage, Vacaville, Calif.; Marc and Jeanne Berghaus, Meade; Jim Bracciano and Kristi Widmar, Lee’s Summit, Mo.; Mike and Susan Bracciano, St. Joseph, Mo.; and Joe and Lisa Bracciano, Tom and Diane Bracciano, and Andy and Cindy Bracciano, all of Lawrence. They also have 14 grandchildren.

The couple request no gifts.

Donald and Jo Ann Spence, Las Vegas, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary March 2 with a reception at the Eagles Lodge in Lawrence.

Donald Spence and Jo Ann Belshe were married March 1, 1952, at Grace Methodist Church in Emporia.

Donald worked for KPL for more than 30 years before retiring to Las Vegas. Jo Ann worked for Bit O’ Gold Cheese in Wamego and in the catalog department of J.C. Penney, Lawrence.

The couple’s children served as hosts for the reception. They are: Mary Jo Blanke, Warsaw, Mo.; Marlena Burns, Overland Park; Brenda Fitzsimmons, Broken Arrow, Okla., and Bryan Spence, Lawrence.

The couple also have nine grandchildren.
