Atterberry services
Services for Kevin Robert Atterberry, 43, Lawrence, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home and at 3 p.m. Saturday at Wellington Place Baptist Church, Wichita. Burial will be in Wichita Park Cemetery.
Mr. Atterberry died Monday, March 4, 2002, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
He was born Feb. 25, 1959, in Wichita, the son of William Robert and Wilma Ruth (Jones) Atterberry. He was raised in Wichita and graduated from Wichita Heights High School. He attended Wichita State University and Kansas University.
Mr. Atterberry was employed as a GIS analyst with Lawrence Utility Department since April 22, 1991.
He was a member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity at Wichita State University.
He married Christy G. Stocks on July 4, 1992, on a boat in the Gulf of Mexico. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include his father, William R., Wichita; a brother, Keith A., Wichita; and two grandmothers, Peggy Atterberry, Nevada, Mo., and Gertie Stocks, Fairfield, Ala.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home and from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Cochran Mortuary, Wichita.
The family suggests memorials to American Cancer Society, sent in care of the funeral home.
