St. Petersburg, Fla ? The Journal-World sports section has been recognized as one of the 10 best daily sections in the nation by the Associated Press Sports Editors.

In the annual APSE contest, the Journal-World ranked among the 10 best daily sections and received one of 10 honorable mentions for its Sunday sections in the under-40,000 circulation category.

Judging, which ended Wednesday after four days, was by 80 sports editors from newspapers of varying circulation sizes. Sections are not ranked but grouped in two categories: top 10 and honorable mention.
