Baldwin Services for Calvin Henry “Jack” Randel, 78, Shell Knob, Mo., formerly of Ottawa and Baldwin, will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Lamb-Roberts-Heise Funeral Home, Baldwin. Burial will be in Vinland Cemetery.

Mr. Randel died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2002, at St. John’s Hospital, Springfield, Mo.

He was born Aug. 16, 1923, in Baldwin, the son of Charles Frederick and Ada Belle (Devault) Randel. He grew up in the Baldwin area and attended Coal Creek Grade School.

Mr. Randel worked for Wilson Counts doing farm work and later did mechanical work for Adriance Implement Company, Wellsville. During World War II, he worked at Sunflower Ordnance Depot, DeSoto. He later owned and operated Randel Plumbing in Ottawa for several years. He moved to the Ozark, Mo., area four years ago.

He married Ruby Burgoon on Dec. 11, 1978, in Miami, Okla. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include a sister, Minnie Trammell, Olathe; a brother, Orville, Baldwin; a stepdaughter, Connie Briley, Shell Knob, Mo.; two stepsons, Boyd Albers, New Market, Ala., and Bob Albers, Globe, Ariz.; five stepgrandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 12:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
