Chicago ? The Chicago Bulls waived Greg Anthony on Friday, clearing the way for the veteran guard to sign with a playoff contender. He must first clear waivers before signing with another team.

Anthony, in his 11th year, asked the Bulls to waive him so he could be eligible for the postseason. Chicago was 15-42 going into Friday’s game against Washington.

Anthony started 35 games for Chicago and is average of 8.4 points and 5.6 assists.
