Ball

Virgil and Lorna Ball will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception. Their children will serve as hosts for the event from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. March 9 at the home of Debra and Gary Fornelli, 901 N. 1800 Road.

Virgil Ball and Lorna Brillhart were married March 8, 1952, in Huntsville, Ark.

Virgil and Lorna were born in Mapleton and have lived in DeSoto, McLouth and Lawrence.

Virgil retired from Goodyear Tire Co. in 1988. Lorna is a homemaker.

The couple’s children are: Debra and Gary Fornelli, Barbara and Ray Wiggins, and Larry Ball, all of Lawrence; and Darryle Ball, Ozawkie. They also have 10 grandchildren.
