Donner wins Pikes Peak Climb
Cascade, Colo. ? David Donner won the Open Wheel division in the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, covering the 12.4-mile course in 10 minutes, 52.39 seconds despite engine problems Saturday.
Clint Vahsholtz won the Stock Car division in 11:53.05. It was his 10th title overall and his seventh straight in a stock car, a Hill Climb record for consecutive victories in one division.
His father, Leonard, won the Superstock Truck/SUV division in 12:02.95. It was his 13th title, tying him with Bobby Unser for most division victories.
